Amanda Gedney

In 2016, Amanda left the U.S. and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand as an English teacher. She figured out the visa process, found a great apartment, navigated Thai bureaucracy, and fell completely in love with the country.

Friends started asking how she did it. Then friends of friends. Then strangers on the internet. Settle in Abroad grew out of that — a service built on lived experience, not theory.

Today, Amanda and her team have helped hundreds of people make the same leap: retirees, digital nomads, teachers, investors, and families. Every person gets the benefit of years of hard-won local knowledge.
